Let’s start with a classic: a South African safari. Both the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sands are fantastic at this time of year, as the scenery is lush and green, and the bush is alive with young as many animals are born around this time. Spotting wildlife with their young is a truly memorable safari experience.
In India, the monsoon heat has long since receded, the national parks are open for business and the Christmas hordes have yet to descend. We think November might be the perfect month to discover this, the most evocative country on earth.
In Europe, the medieval city walls and towers of the Estonian capital Tallinn look even more romantic when coated in snow.

Swap the Thanksgiving turkey for a Bondi barbeque in Oz this year.
