Here at Original Travel UK we've got a fantastic selection of properties up our sleeves that can be exclusively hired out for clients, whether for a special event such as a wedding or just for a big multi-generational family holiday. Farleigh Wallop, England
Set within 4,000 acres of the Hampshire countryside, just an hour's drive from London, Farleigh Wallop is home to the Earl of Portsmouth and has been in the same family since the 15th century. There are plenty of activities within the grounds to keep guests entertained, be it fishing or rowing on the lake, or enjoying the pristine croquet lawn and cricket pitch. There is also clay-pigeon and game shooting, red deer stalking and more outdoor pursuits on offer here, so it is the perfect choice for those wanting to keep busy and enjoy the English countryside. In-room beauty treatments can also be arranged for those really wanting to spoil themselves. This is one of the most sought-after private retreats in the south of England, and we're here to help you get a foot in the door.
Broomhall House, Scotland
Broomhall House was built more than 300 years ago and is home to the family descended from King Robert the Bruce. Set in 2,500 acres of private estate, less than half an hour from Edinburgh airport and an hour from Glasgow, the house is easily accessible and yet perfectly secluded. For an even more seamless arrival, helicopters can land on the estate or a private aircraft can be met from Edinburgh Airport. We can arrange for clients to have a guided tour of the house with members of the Bruce family, recounting stories of the history of their home and its interiors, and they can tailor these tours to suit clients' interests, be that fine art or family history.
Cornish Cottages, England
We can arrange stays in one of several self-catered properties in Cornwall in perfectly secluded spots, ideal for relaxation and simply getting away from it all. Whatever the group size or ages, we can find the perfect property to suit. Explore the beautiful Cornish coastline, with its golden sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and fishing villages, which fans of the show Poldark might recognise from its panoramic shots. We can arrange excursions and off-the-beaten-track activities so clients can get the most out of the area during their stay.
Cowdray House, England
Cowdray House is set in a stunning 16,500 acre estate in the South Downs National Park in West Sussex, and can be exclusively hired for parties, weddings, or just a relaxing holiday retreat. The house can comfortably sleep up to 44 guests so is perfect for larger groups. Guests can spend their days enjoying the activities on offer, including golf on the 18-hole championship course, fly-fishing for brown trout in the River Rother and clay pigeon shooting. Cowdray is also the home of British Polo, which has been played here for over 100 years, and guests can either learn the ropes themselves with personalised shirts or just watch the game being played with some champagne afternoon tea.
Massbrook Estate, Ireland
Massbrook Estate is situated in a 113-acre estate on the shores of Lough Conn in the Lake District of Ireland's County Mayo. The house dates back to 1887 and has recently been refurbished, making it extremely comfortable with all the modern luxuries you could want. Massbrook is perfect for intimate family gatherings with six comfortable bedrooms. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the lake from the drawing room, relax in the Boathouse while enjoying the sounds of the water lapping up against the shore of the lake, and explore the surrounding Mayo countryside. Lough Conn is renowned for trout and salmon fishing so this is the perfect retreat for those with a love of angling.
Goodwood Estate, England
Within the famous 12,000-acre Goodwood Estate, in the heart of the Sussex countryside, the ten-bedroom Hound Lodge is available for private hire. Goodwood is famous for its sporting heritage and was the home of the world's first major foxhunt. Back then the Hound Lodge was thought to be the most luxurious dog house in the world, but it has since been beautifully restored for people, rather than dogs, to enjoy (although hounds are still very much welcome!). There is a butler and chef on hand to make sure guests are perfectly looked after during their stay. Guests will also enjoy exclusive access to the Goodwood Estate, including high-speed drives on the motor circuit, shooting, or golf on the two championship courses.
