Whilst all our trips are completely bespoke, we do have certain experiences which prove most popular with families, couples and groups! Here below is a (small) selection of our best experiences across the UK & Ireland.

Buckingham Palace Guards

The pomp & pageantry of the Royal family sets our capital city apart. With many opportunities for Royalty spotting (especially in the summer) such as Trooping of the Colour and Royal Ascot this is the perfect time to visit London. Visiting the Royal Palaces is a must and we can provide behind the scene access to many of the historic sites. First timers should be sure to attend Changing of Guard at Buckingham Palace and we have many themed walking tours across London based on both traditional and modern Royals. We have many fabulous connections and can open many Royal doors others don't even know exist!

Traditional English (Scottish and Irish) country pursuits are a key draw for visitors coming into the country. Make like a Lord of the Manor as you enjoy Falconry or Archery on your own private estate. After working up an appetite retire to the country manor for afternoon tea in the drawing room. We can provide deer stalking experiences in the Scottish Highlands or a private ghillie for a fly fishing lesson in the gin clear waters. Ride across the wild moors of Dartmoor with your private equestrian guide, staying in the finest hotels en route such as Bovey Castle and Hotel Endsleigh.

Royal Albert Hall

For any clients who have a keen interest in the arts or would just like to learn their da Vinci from their van Gogh, there is no better place to visit than London. We have specialist guides up our sleeves who can take you on fascinating tours of all of London's best galleries and museums. Or if you're looking for something extra special why not enjoy a curator led tour or private sketching lesson with an artist. Visit up-and-coming galleries and meet some of London's finest emerging talent through Original Travel UK.

We are an extremely family friendly team and understand the pressures of keeping the 'littleuns' happy. We have a motto of 'happy children equals happy parents' and we strive to ensure this occurs in all our family experiences! We have hand-picked guides who are fabulous with children and a whole host of activities that can be tailor made to the child's specific interests. Some of our favourite activities for children include Harry Potter themed tours; including of course the Warner Brother Studios and key filming sites across London. For the more active take part in a private 'funducational' quest across London, including code breakers, walkie-talkies and treasure maps to save the Queen's presents from a thief!

The 'foodie scene' in the UK shows no sign of slowing down. For any gastronomics out there a visit to the famous Borough Market is a must see whilst in London, this is made even more special when you visit with a well-known chef who will show you all her favourite stalls and give real colour to the market. Or enjoy a private cookery class in some of the Cotswold's finest cookery schools, many include beautiful kitchen gardens where you can pick fresh ingredients, before enjoying the spoils of your lesson. For a more family-friendly experience enjoy a biscuit icing lesson in fun colours and shapes to keep the children entertained.

Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

Enjoy our green and pleasant lands in the scenic countryside. Whatever your favourite mode of transport we can assist with beautiful outdoors experiences. Why not charter a motor yacht and cruise on Loch Ness while you sip on a glass of Champagne. If visiting Ireland, the famous Cliffs of Moher are best seen from the air as your helicopter takes off from our favourite Irish hotel, Ashford Castle. Enjoy the mellowed stone Cotswold Cottages with your accredited local driver-guide or relax on the Jacobite Steam Train and you chug past the famous Glen Finnan Viaduct on your way to Skye.

For history buffs we would highly recommend an out of hours visit to the Churchill War Rooms, led by the Director of the museum. This special tour takes you behind the glass to experience details of the museum up close, with privileged access to where the War Cabinet worked during WW2. We can also arrange tours of Chartwell with one of Churchill's relations for a more personal side to the famous leader. Further afield enjoy a visit to Edinburgh Castle privately or to see the Book of Kells in Dublin. For those with historical family ties to the UK & Ireland let our genealogist uncover your personal history. With specialist guides, historians and experts in their fields we can pair your clients with the best of the best whatever their historical interest.
