Christmas in London
London looks spectacular in December, with the streets decked with twinkling lights and Christmas markets galore. We can arrange best tickets to the famous Nutcracker ballet performance at the Royal Opera House or to a showing of A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic. The Christmas Service at Westminster Abbey is a must do or should you wish to enjoy a different experience over the festive period, why not book a guide for a walking tour on Christmas Day morning? You will have the normally busy streets all to yourselves and can experience a whole different side of London (as well as getting some brilliant pictures!) Should the weather be inclement take a panoramic tour in a vintage Mini car complete with a thermos of hot chocolate and a tartan blanket to keep you warm.
Top Tip: ensure you have booked your Christmas Lunch well in advance and remember there is no public transport running in London on December 25th.
Festive Family Activities
Outside of the city we can arrange some superb tours over the festive period. Why not enjoy afternoon tea in a private stately home with the Lord and Lady of the house? Relax in their beautifully decorated period drawing room by a huge tree and crackling fire while you nibble on mince pies. Whats that we hear? The tinkling of sleigh bells as Santa & his reindeer make an appearance up the sweeping drive, before stopping in for tea and a chat about the children's presents!
Top Tip: Ask the Lord of the Manor about his royal connections.. he might just get out some very special private photo albums!
