Remember, remember the 5th of November. Here's our picks of the best firework displays and events to celebrate this years bonfire night...

Lovely London is the backdrop for the Lord Mayor's Firework Display where half a tonne of fireworks light up some of London's most iconic landmarks. For the best view, head to Victoria Embankment and to warm up afterwards we suggest a glass of Winter Pimms or a classic cocktail at the Corinthia.

If you prefer Bangers-on-a-Beach to Fireworks-in-a-Field then head to Holyhead on the Northern Coast of Wales. Watching from the beach, you will be dazzled as the fireworks explode over Holyhead Bay.

The residents of Ottery St Mary in Devon have come up with a slightly more unusual way to celebrate Guy Fawkes' Night. Flaming barrels are lugged through the streets until finally at midnight the largest barrel arrives and the bonfire is lit. Fireworks then follow, as if anything else was needed to add to the mayhem!

Tutbury Castle in Staffordshire has decided to go for a Viking themed Fireworks Display, 'but how?' I hear you cry. Fear not there are still fireworks and a bonfire however there is the addition of a torch lit Viking Battle.

If you have little ones that don't like the noise of fireworks, then head to Bristol Zoo who put on a 'Bangless' Fireworks Display. The twinkles and colour light up the sky without a noise so that young children and the zoo animals don't get scared.
