Brooklyn is a city within a city, Manhattan’s bohemian and, arguably, trendier sister. Since the 2000s, this borough has been the heart of the city, the side of the East River where creatives, young professionals and tech talents give this borough a contemporary and alternative edge. While you’re here, you can soak up Dumbo’s urban energy or marvel at Bushwick’s graffitied streets; take in the view at Brooklyn Heights’ promenade or browse the craft workshops of Williamsburg before sitting down for lunch at one of the city’s best restaurants. From the rush of rollercoasters at Coney Island to the calm of the beautiful Brooklyn Botanic Garden, this borough can offer a whole range of experiences.
During your trip, you’ll stay in Boerum Hill, a residential enclave full of brownstone houses bordered by trees. On the nearby shopping streets of Smith Street and Atlantic Avenue, you’ll find cafés, local restaurants and charming boutiques. This is the perfect base for exploring the rest of Brooklyn or heading into Manhattan.

IN YOUR ITINERARY

With a subway pass, itinerary and app loaded with our favourite New York City spots, you’ll be free to explore the city your way, from strolling through parks and museums to taking in the skyline at dizzying viewing platforms. So you can get a local perspective of the area, we’ll arrange for you to see the neighbourhoods of Williamsburg, Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo guided by a real New Yorker. You’ll make your journey through these three districts on foot and by ferry, and your guide will tailor the trip to what you’d most like to see and do. If you want to extend the tour to visit other areas of Brooklyn or even Manhattan, rent bikes to cycle through Central Park or book tickets for a Broadway show, just let us know. If you need anything else during your trip, our local Concierge will be on hand throughout your stay.

WHERE YOU’LL STAY

Brooklyn’s hotel scene rivals that of lower Manhattan, and this property is proof of that. You’ll stay in an impressive building on Boerum Hill whose interiors are a cohesive blend of vintage and contemporary styles. The décor is inspired by mid-century minimalism and a touch of modernism. Within the hotel, you’ll find a restaurant-bakery, a cosy lobby and an interior garden, all perfect for relaxing and mingling. The rooms feature large windows, vintage furniture and musical touches here and there (you could find anything from a radio to a guitar or even a turntable in your room). This beautiful space is yours to enjoy whenever you need a moment of peace, though with the magical city right outside your window, you may well spend hardly any time here at all…
