Route

Everything is 100% tailored to you
DAY 1

The Honeymoon Begins...

Fresh from your nuptials, catch an overnight flight from London to Cape Town, leaving early evening. The flight takes just over eleven-and-a-half-hours, so time to watch a film and grab a good night's sleep before you land.

DAYS 2 & 3

Cape Town for Newly-weds

You'll land in Cape Town in the morning and now your honeymoon begins in earnest. After all that wedmin, it's your turn to sit back and relax as your private transfer driver will be waiting at the airport to whisk you off to your super-luxurious hotel. No doubt you'll want to take it easy after your long journey, so you can while away the next couple of days chilling by the pool, taking long loved-up strolls along the beautiful beaches and toasting married life over a glass of fine South African wine as the sun sets. Sounds pretty good, right?

Of course, there's so much to see in Cape Town, so if you want to get out and explore the city you won't be disappointed. Stretching all the way from the edge of Table Mountain right down to Cape Town's green suburbs, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are a peaceful haven to soak up the sun or you could head out on a coastal walk to Boulders Beach, home to a colony of ridiculously cute African penguins, for an excellent photo opportunity.

Cape Town is also foodie heaven, so don't forget to ask our clued-up local Concierge for some insider tips on the best places to eat out - whether you're after a traditional braai or some fine-dining at the city's best seafood restaurant, they can suggest the ultimate place to wave farewell to that wedding diet.

DAY 4

On Top of the World at Table Mountain

Towering over the city, Table Mountain is a truly iconic Cape Town landmark. Today, you'll be met at your hotel by your experienced guide who'll take you on an exhilarating half-day hike to the summit. Surrounded by South Africa's natural beauty in all its wild glory, the views as you make your way to the top are something else - but it's the panoramic vista from the summit that makes all the exertion well, well worth it. If the timing is right, watch the sun set, turning the sky a glowing orange, before Cape Town transforms into a sea of twinkling lights - if you weren't already married, this would be the moment to propose. Then give your legs a rest and take the cable car back down, before a well-earned supper.

DAYS 5 & 6

Exploring the Winelands

It's time to head away from the coast and into South Africa's legendary Winelands as you wave goodbye to the city and hit the road. Your private driver will whisk you through the lush mountainous landscape as you weave past acres of pristine vineyards, before arriving in the heart of the Winelands. With two days to explore this rural paradise, our Concierge will be able to help you plan how to fill your days. Enjoy the gorgeous green landscape on a guided ride or hike, or, if you really want to push the boat out, take to the skies for a helicopter flip over the vine-filled valleys. It is your honeymoon after all.

Of course, there's no doubting the main attraction here - the wine and food. We can organise private cellar and vineyard tours, as well as plenty of al fresco wine tastings under the glorious South African sun.

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating in the Winelands, with options from relaxed picnics in the grounds of beautiful wine estates through to fine dining in some of the best gastronomic restaurants in South Africa, if not in the world. For lunch, we love Babel restaurant at Babylonstoren, one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, and still thriving today. Take a walk through the spectacular fruit and vegetable gardens before settling down for a delicious, seasonal meal, reflecting their 'farm-to-fork' philosophy.

DAY 7

Take a Walk on the Wild Side

Your honeymoon continues as you start the next part of your adventure - an unforgettable luxury safari in the South African bush. First, your driver will take you by private transfer back to Cape Town airport to catch your two-hour internal flight to Johannesburg.

Once you land, you'll be met at the airport by another driver, waiting to transport you to your safari lodge in style. It's a three-and-a-half-hour drive, so sit back and take in the ever-changing landscape as you head further into the South African plains.

After a long journey, freshen up in your incredible tented suite before enjoying sundowners on your private deck, serenaded by the sounds of the wild.

DAYS 8 to 10

Safaris and Sundowners in the Sabi Sands

Waking up under canvas in your king-size bed, prepare yourself for a real 'pinch-yourself' moment. Today your safari adventure really begins. Our preferred safari lodges run both morning and evening game drives, where you'll head out to spot the so-called 'Big Five' - lions, elephants, Cape buffaloes, leopards and rhinos. Each safari drive takes around three-four hours and includes either a scenic coffee or sundowner break to simply enjoy your surroundings and appreciate the moment. The landscape looks like something straight out of a David Attenborough series and nothing beats the thrill of catching that first glimpse of Africa's most iconic animals.

With three days to live out all those safari dreams, you can also join one of the sunrise or sunset safari drives; or enjoy a safari by boat, when you'll see beautiful birdlife, hippos wallowing and vervet monkeys playing at the water's edge.

Back at the lodge you can enjoy on-site spa treatments, world-class cuisine and plenty of fine South African wine. If you're looking to book something extra-special, perhaps as a surprise for your new Mr or Mrs, we suggest a night in a beautiful treehouse located well away from the main camp - it's the stuff of fairy tales.

DAY 11

Flight to the Seychelles

It's your final day in South Africa, but there's nothing to be sad about as your honeymoon continues as you jet off to the desert island paradise of the Seychelles. A private driver will collect you from your lodge and chauffeur you the three-and-a-half hours to Johannesburg airport. From here, you'll catch the seven-hour flight to Mahé, the Seychellois capital, before being transferred to your luxury hotel for the night.

DAYS 12 to 14

Tropical Paradise on a Seychelles Island

After a delicious breakfast, it's time to catch a short half-hour domestic flight to one of the Seychelles' most beautiful islands (which is saying something), your retreat for the next three days. All that travelling will soon be a distant memory as you arrive at this drop-dead gorgeous, A-list worthy Robinson Crusoe style private island - absolute honeymoon perfection. With the softest white sand, shimmering waters and swaying palms, this heavenly hideaway is the definition of barefoot luxury. Spend your days snorkelling or diving around the lagoon and coral reef - a haven for tropical fish, turtles and rays, kayaking out across the waters to spot marine life from above, exploring the island on foot and trying not to get too competitive over a game of tennis or billiards.

In the evening enjoy a ridiculously romantic candle-lit dinner on the beach before unwinding at the bar with a cocktail or two. There's nowhere better to enjoy some quality time together and make some newlywed memories before you have to head home.

DAYS 15 & 16

Beach Life at Mahé

Wave goodbye to your little slice of heaven, as you continue your trip of a lifetime. Catch a 45-minute domestic flight back to Mahé, where your driver will greet you and chauffeur you 20 minutes to your final destination on this epic honeymoon. Perched on stilts, looking out across the Indian Ocean, your villa is the perfect place to round off your first holiday as Mr and Mrs. There's so much to do here, whether you want to hike to Sauzier Waterfall, go giant tortoise watching on Moyenne Island, book a paddle boarding lesson or enjoy a glass-bottom boat cruise - but we wouldn't blame you if you just want to laze by the infinity pool with a daiquiri, before indulging in a Creole feast at the hilltop restaurant and dancing the night away to live music.

DAY 17

Back Home

After more than two weeks of adventure, luxury and amazing food and wine, it's sadly time to head home. Your transfer driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning, before transferring you to Mahé airport. From here, you'll catch your flight back to London, which will take around ten hours, landing in the late afternoon. With so many memories made, the only thing left to do is get home and open all of those wedding presents.
