Spend a week living in the lap of luxury on the private island of Petit St Vincent. With complimentary water sports, fantastic snorkelling opportunities and some spectacular sea views, there is plenty to please everyone on this trip. And that's without mentioning the delicious Caribbean cuisine...

Route

Everything is 100% tailored to you
DAY 1

International Flight

Your adventure begins with a morning flight from the UK to Petit St Vincent. As this little patch of paradise is a totally private island, you will be flying with a quick stopover in the much bigger Barbados.

The flight time to Barbados is just under nine hours so you'll land in the mid-afternoon. Here a member of the Petit St Vincent team will be waiting to meet you and transfer you onto your next flight - a short light aircraft flight to Union Island. From there it's just a 20-minute boat ride to Petit St Vincent, and we promise the multi-leg journey will all seem worthwhile when you arrive to find picture perfect beaches under the setting sun.

Leave your bags in your room then grab a cocktail to sit and watch the sunset before your first Caribbean dinner of the holiday.

DAY 2

Beach Life

After a long journey yesterday (and probably a few first night drinks), enjoy a leisurely lie-in this morning before heading to breakfast in the main restaurant. The rest of the day is then yours to spend as you please, perhaps simply enjoying the soft white sand between your toes, or splashing around in the warm Caribbean Sea. Later this afternoon we recommend taking advantage of the hotel's kayaks and circling the two-mile circumference of the island, helping you get your bearings on the island and enjoying sunset from the water.

After working up an appetite on the water, enjoy a fresh seafood dinner at the Beach Restaurant this evening.

DAY 3

Underwater Wonders

Today pair your R&R with some exploration of the colourful underwater world surrounding Petit St Vincent. Head over to the boathouse where you can pick up your snorkelling kit and enjoy a few hours admiring the tropical marine life. One of the best snorkelling spots on the island is from Atlantic Pier, where you can either dive right into the water, or take the steps down for a more gentle approach. For those who really want to experience the best of the marine life, the island has a PADI-recognised Jean Michel Cousteau Dive Centre, which is one of only two in the world. With world class instructors and quiet seas, this is a great place to learn or for experienced divers to enjoy secluded dives.

After lunch, retire to your cottage to enjoy your beautiful surroundings from the comfort of a sun lounger on your private deck. If you really want to embrace island life, you might prefer to find one of the island's secluded hammocks and settle in there with a good book.

DAY 4

Morning Views

After two relaxing days filled with lots of good food and drinks, it's time for a change of pace with a morning hike. Start from the island's main area and gradually make your way up to Marni Hill's Summit, which is 275ft above sea level. Reaching the top, you'll not only enjoy a sense of achievement but also amazing views of the island below and the surrounding Caribbean Sea (and have earned some guilt-free afternoon indulgence).

After the hike, head back to your cottage to cool off and then have the island staff prepare a picnic (complete with a chilled bottle of wine) for your lunch. Take your goodies to a secluded spot anywhere on the island - perhaps somewhere you spotted from the top of Marni Hill - and then spend the rest of the day relaxing and sunbathing on the beach. Real fitness fans might like to take advantage of the island's fitness trail which has shaded workout stations and can be paired with a jog along the beach.

DAY 5

Boating Around

One of the best ways to spend a day of your trip is out on the water on an island-hopping adventure, so book yourself onto a boat - self-sailed or skippered. The surrounding Grenadine islands are just a short sail away from Petit St Vincent and you can visit several in one day. Get a taste for traditional West Indies life on Union Island, snorkel on the Tobago Cays Marine Park (which is an official protected wildlife reserve), hike to the highest point on Mayreau Island or even sip a cocktail at the local celebrity haunt, Basil's Bar on Mustique Island.

As the afternoon draws in you'll be sailed back to Petit St Vincent in time for dinner. Petit St Vincent plays host to several food and drink experts and regular culinary events are a highlight of many guests' stays. Tonight may well be the weekly barbeque night and you can enjoy pork ribs, beef and lobster at the Beach Restaurant.

DAY 6

R&R

As much as there is to see and do in the Caribbean, a holiday here will always have a healthy dose of simply enjoying the laid back lifestyle and beautiful beaches, so, spend today doing just that. The hardest part of your day will be deciding where to while away hours in the sun - chill out from the comfort of your own cottage, head to the beach or laze by the pool. Whether working on your tan, reading a good book, or simply catching up on some rest while away from work, embrace island life to its laziest today. If you want to really unwind, book in for a treatment at the Hillside Spa.

This evening, indulge in a three course meal from the main restaurant, while enjoying views of the island harbour from your hilltop perch. The waiting staff will also help you pair your meal with a bottle (or two) from the extensive wine cellar.

DAY 7

Last Day

Make the most of your last full day in paradise and rise early to grab a yoga mat and stretch out on the Atlantic Pier while the sun is still fairly cool. After warming up for the day, enjoy breakfast and then head down to the beach. Depending on your preferences you might like to spend today doing some more snorkelling, trying your hand at kite surfing with a lesson, or joining the fishing crew for a deep sea fishing excursion. Of course, the kayaks are also available if you'd like to end your holiday as you started it - with a trip around the island.

Come evening we will have arranged for you to enjoy a private candlelit dinner in the comfort of your cottage, during which you can reflect on your holiday and take in a final island sunset view.

DAY 8

Head Home

After a fun-filled holiday on Petit St Vincent, the time has sadly come to make your way home. The journey begins with the 20-minute boat transfer to Union Island, then (as with on the way) a light aircraft flight to Barbados. Here, check in for and depart on your evening flight to the UK, which takes around nine hours.

DAY 9

Touchdown

After flying through the night, land back into the UK in the early hours of this morning.
