Route

Everything is 100% tailored to you
DAY 1

Leave the UK

Your connecting flights to Nairobi leave London in the evening, flying to the Kenya capital via one of the Gulf state hubs, and arriving in Kenya. The combined flights will take around 13 hours.

DAY 2

Arrive in Kenya

Depending on which routing you took, you'll arrive at Nairobi International Airport this morning or early afternoon, where you'll be met and transferred to Wilson Airport (Nairobi's domestic airport) in time for your domestic flight onwards to the Masai Mara. It's around an hour's flight and you'll hopefully get a bird's eye view of the incredible Kenyan savannah. On arrival, your guide will greet you from the plane and drive you on the remaining 30-minute journey in your camp's well-equipped 4x4 safari vehicle.

On arrival at your super-romatic safari camp you'll have plenty of time to take your first afternoon game drive - a chance to spot some of the Mara's Big Five game under the expert supervision of one of the camp's highly qualified local guides, before heading back for a mouth-watering supper under the stars.

DAYS 3 & 4

The Masai Mara

Having drifted off to the evocative sounds of the bush, you'll be woken early to head out in the 4x4 safari vehicle for the first of today's game drives. With photographic equipment stands and charging sockets on board, you'll be able to take some fabulous images to record your animal encounters. Buffalos, elephants, hyenas and giraffes, not to mention prides of lions, cheetahs and leopards all roam the Mara, now in greater numbers due to conservation efforts over the last few years. Your guide will show you how to recognise tracks and signs of particular species and will point out the rich birdlife as well as smaller mammals.

On your return to camp a hearty breakfast will be waiting for you in the dining tent. Afterwards, you can take a hot shower, enjoy a coffee on your veranda overlooking the plains or chill out in the mess tent with some of your fellow guests.

If you're lucky enough to be visiting during the great wildebeest and zebra migration from the Serengeti, your guide will choose river crossings as your game drive destinations to get the very best views.

In the late afternoon, you'll be invited out on another game drive, taking a different route this time, perhaps to a waterhole, or a special site your guide is keen to share with you. The all-important sundowner drink will be served en route, toasting the day's discoveries as you take in another magnificent view at sunset.

Back at the camp, the chefs will have prepared a wonderful candle-lit dinner for you and if you're not too sleepy you can gather round the campfire afterwards for a leisurely nightcap.

DAY 5

More Mara

With your wildlife antennae now finely tuned, this morning's game drive could well feature the more elusive animals that you've been desperate to spot. The camp hosts can provide a delicious bush breakfast picnic for you to feast on while you're out and about, affording you more time with the animals as well as another great memory to savour. After lunch, you might like to join one of the camp's very popular walking safaris, to get that little bit closer to the area's amazing wildlife. With an experienced walking guide and a local Maasai warrior to accompany you, you'll learn so much more about the plants, animal tracks and smaller creatures you'll encounter, such as the comical warthogs or shy impalas.

Then it's sadly time to fly back to Nairobi for a night in an airport hotel at the international airport.

DAYS 6 & 7

Mahe

After breakfast at the hotel, you can check in for your direct flight to Mahe, the largest island in the Seychelles archipelago, with a flying time of just over three hours. After the excitement of Kenya's Masai Mara comes the rather more indulgent part of your special trip. On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and driven to your luxury beachfront hotel for two enchanting days on this paradise island, with its secluded white sand beaches and swaying palms.

Choose to take a boat trip out on the crystal clear Indian Ocean to superb snorkelling areas that are home to a dazzling array of fish and coral, turtles and rays. Fishing trips can yield catches of tuna, dorado and marlin, while guided tours or hikes into the island's glorious interior will be incredibly rewarding.

Browse the market in Victoria, the Hindu temple and the botanical gardens or tour the local tea factory for a taste of the local brew.

You'll have plenty of time at leisure to enjoy the hotel's delightful pool and to stroll along the beach before moving on to your next destination

DAYS 8 to 11

La Digue

This morning, you'll be collected from your hotel on Mahe and transferred back to the airport to check in for the short hop across to the island of Praslin. Your driver will greet you in the arrivals area for your private transfer to the jetty at Baie St Anne. From here, you'll board the ferry to La Digue, the smallest of the three main islands in the Seychelles and an absolute jewel, with its stunning, pristine white beaches and lush, jungle interior.

On arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your luxurious resort, tucked away on the hillside overlooking the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean.

With very few vehicles on the island, the best way to get around is by bicycle and it's a real joy to discover the other beaches for yourself, some with great surf and others perfectly calm and ideal for swimming.

Within the laid-back resort, take advantage of the treatments on offer at the soothing spa, hop on a boat for a barbecue and snorkelling trip or simply stretch out beside the pool with an exotic cocktail and congratulate yourselves on choosing the perfect honeymoon.

DAY 12

Home Time

You'll have the morning at leisure and time for a long lazy lunch before you're collected and transferred to the ferry to return to Praslin and to check in for your short domestic flight to Mahe. From there, you'll board your evening connecting international flight via the Gulf. The total flight time will be in the region of 13 or 14 hours.

DAY 13

Arrive in London

You'll arrive into London in the morning or early afternoon, depending on the exact flights you choose.
