The hotel occupies a five-storey French colonial building on historic Dong Khoi Street, and has witnessed much of Vietnam's tumultuous 20th century history.
The original building retains some of its old charm, with wooden floors and high ceilings, while a new wing was added in 2003. Facilities include a swimming pool in the inner courtyard area, a gym, and a spa offering massages, sauna and steambath. There is also a beauty salon, a tailor's shop and a helpful concierge service.
