Belize has a lot to offer as an emerging beach destination, with miles of white sandy beaches, boutique hotels, gin-clear waters and local restaurants. Soak up the lively Caribbean spirit with a good book on the beach, or take advantage of the abundance of activities on offer such as biking, snorkelling and sailing. The coast of Belize is also a world class dive destination, with most of the diving organised as day trips.

The southern coast of Belize is still relatively undiscovered, and we have sought out the hidden gems that make the most of the stunning coastline.

Offshore, most of the best dive sites are an hour or so away by the fast comfortable boats and consequently are make for perfect day trips.

Further inland, the area contains some extremely well preserved rainforest and National Parks, such as the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to rare species such as the red eye tree frog, and was created specifically for the elusive jaguar. In addition, many of the towns in this area have a strong Garifuna community and tours can be arranged.
