Jamaica is the third largest of the Caribbean islands, and one of the most attractive. Columbus described it as "the fairest isle mine eyes ever beheld". The island's interior is characterised by beautiful mountains and valleys covered in lush tropical vegetation, while the coast has many beautiful beaches.
Jamaica also has a rich history and a vibrant, melting-pot culture, which means that the island has more to offer than many of the smaller Caribbean islands.
We at Original Travel are on something of a mission to dispel any lingering and unfavourable preconceptions about Jamaica, and would heartily recommend a visit. After all, Columbus liked it, and he saw a fair few islands in his time.
