The Inn at English Harbour
The Inn at English Harbour enjoys a delightful location on a wooded headland at the entrance of the historic English Harbour, one of the most picturesque parts of Antigua.
Set amidst 19 acres of beautiful gardens looking over the Caribbean Sea on Antigua's south-western coast, The Inn at English Harbour strikes the perfect balance between Colonial charm and modern comforts.
Twenty four suites are located in the main part of the hotel and there are a further four suites in two cabanas directly on the beach. Each suite has a private balcony or veranda, and all have been elegantly decorated with dark mahogany floors, wooden furniture and crisp white linen.
The casual Reef restaurant is open during the day for breakfast and lunch, while the Terrace restaurant in the original house boasts the perfect setting for an al fresco candlelit dinner. There is a large infinity pool, two tennis courts and a fitness centre at the inn and complimentary snorkelling and kayaking are also available. There is a small spa and golf can be arranged at one of two championship courses nearby.

Carlisle Bay
Opened in 2003, the immaculate Carlisle Bay resort is set on the unspoilt south coast of Antigua and offers chic, five-star accommodation.
The hotel overlooks a beautiful white sand beach in an unspoilt bay, with a backdrop of tropical forest. The suites are spacious and have cool, calm interiors, private balconies and ocean views.
As well as its beautiful sandy beach, Carlisle Bay offers a range of watersports, with professional instruction available for windsurfing and sailing (Antigua is particularly good for these sports because of its reliable breezes).
Also available are kayaking, kite-surfing, fishing, boat charters, snorkelling trips to the nearby reefs and a PADI-certified diving centre.
On land, facilities include nine tennis courts (four of which are floodlit), a stunning freeform swimming pool and a spa. There is also a state-of-the-art gym, with personal training and yoga instruction available. In addition to its excellent restaurants, the hotel has three bars.
For children, there's a kids club located in the hotel's tropical gardens, with a 'jungle gym', sandpit, paddling pool and four mini tennis courts. The resort's luxurious private cinema also shows children's movies daily.
